Tunisian Director of Social Affairs in Tataouine Mounir Al-Kharbi confirmed that food aid from Libya arrived at the Social Solidarity stores in Tunisia, according to Tunisian radio station Mosaïque.
Al-Kharbi explained that the aid is expected to be distributed to 6,000 low-income families in several districts next week. The aid includes sugar, oil, flour, and rice, which were sent by the National Unity Government “to show solidarity in the economic crisis that Tunisia is going through.”
The Libyan assistance was loaded onto 96 trucks carrying between 50 and 65 tons, heading towards the Ras Jdir border crossing.
