Tunisia-Refusal to release Tabarka’s mayor

The first investigating judge of the third office at the Court of First Instance of Jendouba denied the request to release Tabarka mayor Amel Aloui.

This was indicated by the attorney and member of the defence committee of the accused, Lotfi Massoudi in a statement to the TAP, considering that the exit of the judge on annual vacation, after listening to the representative of The Coastal Protection and Development Agency (Apal) represents an implicit rejection of the release request.

This requires adherence to the legal deadline of four days for filing an appeal with the indictment chamber of the Court of Appeal of Jendouba.
