Tunisia-Regueb: Protests after death of a young man, who set himself on fire

Several young people from the city of Regueb of the governorate of Sidi Bouzid moved on December 1, 2020, to the closing of the road connecting Sidi Bouzid and the delegation and set fire to rubber tires.

Anger rose after the passing of a 17-year-old young man in Ben Arous burn hospital yesterday, following severe burns he sustained.

The defunct, in fact, poured gasoline on his body and set himself on fire in front of the city’s National Security District.

Scenes of tension broke out between the demonstrators and the security units.

Security agents fired tear gas to disperse the crowd in several alleys and streets of the city.
