Tunisia-Republican Party asks not to grant confidence to Hichem Mechichi government

The Republican Party has urged not to grant the vote of confidence to the government of prime minister-designate Hichem Mechchi and not accept what it’s considered patching solution that will prolong the crises and not solve it.

In an issued statement, the party demanded that the President of the Republic be held responsible for his failed election and invited him for serious consultations under political norms with parties, parliamentary blocs and competencies.

The statement asked to designate a national figure who has the characteristics of a political leader, a vision and a program to save the country and brings together political and parliamentary majority capable of bearing the burdens of governance.
