Tunisia-Rescue of 36 irregular migrants in Mahdia

Thirty-six irregular migrants, all Sub-Saharans including a pregnant woman and five children were rescued by the Maritime Guard, stated this Wednesday, November 11, 2020, the spokesperson for the National Guard, Colonel Houssem Jebabli.

The spokesman explained that the boat remained stagnant for more than a day and a half, then it sank half an hour after the Marine Guard units intervened and rescued the group.

After consulting the public prosecution, the legal proceeding will be initiated against the detainees.
