The transport of phosphates by train on railway line n°13, Gafsa-Sfax, restarted this Tuesday at noon. Indeed, a phosphate train departed the city of Métlaoui for the Tunisian Chemical Group factory in Skhira.
The demonstrators who started a sit-in concluded their sit-ins after holding a meeting with the Governor of Gafsa, Nader Hamdouni, and executives from the governorate of Sidi Bouzid.
It should be mentioned that the journeys of trains carrying phosphate on this line have been stopped since January 12. It is anticipated that daily trips will rise to five trains with the resumption of the activity of the Tunisian Indian Fertilizers-TIFERT Company, which has experienced social mobilizations since November 2021.
