Academic Ridha Chkondali, in a statement to Tunisie Numérique, voiced his support for the words of the Head of State relating to his opposition to the lifting of the subsidy.
“We cannot, for example, lift fuel subsidies because the prices of these products have a direct effect on all other products and services, on the rate of inflation and the purchasing power of citizens,” adds Ridha Chkondali who considers that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has the essential means to understand this position.
“As things currently stand, there is no issue in resuming negotiations with the IMF,” underlines Ridha Chkondali
