Tunisia-Ridha Chkondali:We can convince the IMF of Tunisian-Tunisian policies as desired by the President [Video]

In a statement with Tunisie Numérique, economic expert Ridha Chkondal confirmed that in 2024, various royalties were approved in the form of value-added fees, which directly impact prices. Thus, the state must possess the ability to monitor producers.

He highlighted that the rise in the value of value-added performance and royalties serves as income for the state budget, contributing to lowering the amount allocated for subsidies in the 2024 Finance Law. This, according to Chkondal, would help in negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The economist also went on to state that the Tunisian government must consolidate this approach during its negotiations with the IMF, particularly since there are no major disagreements concerning other files such as public institutions and public employment.
