Tunisia-Ridha Zahrouni calls for revising school time [Video]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the president of the Tunisian Association of Parents and Students Ridha Zahrounis talked about the shortcomings of the Tunisian education system. Zahrouni stressed school time, which he said is an essential issue to be addressed at the heart of the reforms to be adopted in the education system.

The official called for adjusting school time as well as the policy adopted by the State and the Ministry of Education while taking into understanding the specificities of each school level. “It is likewise very important to consider the requirements of the child.

 

Learners need to flourish, ”he said, adding that the hours spent in revision and private lessons are part of school time. In the same vein, the speaker demonstrated that the social situation of students, as well as the opportunities presented to them, have direct consequences on the success rate.
