Head of the Parliamentary Commission for Administrative Reform, Good Governance and the Fight against Corruption Badreddine Gammoudi announced that a complaint will be lodged against prime minister Hichem Mechichi, as well as the Minister of Commerce Mohamed Bou Said, after the rise in the price of sugar by 250 millimes.
The MP recalled, in a post published on his official page, that this increase goes against what was agreed under the 2021 Finance Law which provisions for an increase of barely 100 millimes.
The government has increased the price in this way to meet IMF expectations, he added, stating that the complaint is directed at overturning this abusive decision in which the government has largely surpassed its powers.
