Tunisia-“Rise of some political parties hostile to freedom in Parliament will have severe outcomes” warns Sami Tahri

The ascent of some political parties antagonistic to freedom in Parliament will have grave outcomes”, stated the spokesman of the General Union of Tunisian workers (Ugtt), Sami Tahri, after elections.
In a statement to TAP, Tahri said that “the participation in the governance of the country of currents holding radical discourse could lead to violence and lead to a global political, social and economic crisis”, adding that “some political forces, including the” El Karama Coalition” and the” Errahma Party”, “adopt a libertarian discourse hostile to civil rights”.

He denounced what he called as “forces hostile to freedom” of “taking advantage of the democratic climate in Tunisia to take freedoms hostage and establish tyranny”, according to him, considering that concerns of seeing these freedoms changed after the rise of these forces to the legislature are now real”.
