Tunisia – Russian Yacht stolen in Montenegro seized in Bizerte

The General Directorate of the National Guard revealed that following the receipt of information on January 7, 2024, about a group of people who looted a Russian yacht in Montenegro, and the possibility of the arrival of the stolen yacht in Bizerte marina, has given instructions to the units of the Maritime Guard zone in Bizerte to carry out inquiries in the various ports and monitoring all incoming yachts. This made it possible to spot a foreign yacht named “Axe” in the marina of Bizerte on January 18, 2024, at 1:00 a.m.

Inspecting the boat’s legal documents made it possible to suspect the situation of the yacht. After examination by the public prosecutor, legal proceedings were opened, regarding the “theft of a foreign tourist yacht”, followed by the detention of two people of foreign nationality, including a young girl, and the seizure of the aforementioned yacht. Suspicions were also directed towards a third party (the main element), against whom a search notice was issued. He was arrested on January 19 at Tunis-Carthage airport, about to leave.
