President of the Republic, Kais Saïed, welcomed this Monday, August 21, 2023, at Carthage Palace, prime minister Ahmed Hachani.
This meeting concentrated on the activity of the government in general, according to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, as well as on the function of the administration in the implementation of State policy and the necessity to accelerate its purge of all who work to disrupt public services.
“This is a phenomenon that has been aggravated in recent weeks, whether at the central, regional and local levels,” said Saïed.
The President of the Republic specified that the Tunisian administration is full of skills that can substitute those who have not fulfilled their duty as they should and have infringed, in addition to hindering the interests of citizens, the duty of reserve which imposes itself on them.
The Head of State likewise called on Hachani to continue the joint operations carried out by several ministries to combat monopoly and the intentional increase in prices and to monitor more closely the so-called distribution circuits which frequently operate outside any legal framework, “as has been proven by the thousands of tons of debris that have recently been seized, in all regions of the Republic”, he further said.
