Tunisia – Financial institutions called upon to support country’s key sectors

President of the Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed, this afternoon, Friday June 21, 2024, at Carthage Palace  Mr. Mohamed Al-Agrebi, member of the Board of Directors of the Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunis, in charge of relations with public bodies.

This meeting focused on the support of financial establishments for the state’s efforts in different sectors. Among the most critical sectors on which the President of the Republic focused are health, education and transport, particularly in areas that lack the most basic needs.

In this context, the President of the Republic was notified of the preparations underway for the start of construction work on several educational establishments and their restoration before the next school year in several regions such as Melassine, Raoued, the governorate of Kasserine and other internal regions.

In addition to educational establishments, the Head of State was informed of the restoration project of the Ibn Khaldoun House of Culture.

During this meeting, the President of the Republic underlined that Tunisia, with its capabilities and the combined efforts of everyone, based on a deep sense of national responsibility, can overcome various types of challenges.
