Tunisia – Saïed sends an invitation to Ivorian counterpart for official visit to Tunisia

President of the Republic, Kais Saied, received this afternoon, Friday August 9, 2024, at Carthage Palace , Léon Kacou ADOM, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad.

The President of the Republic underscored Tunisia’s pride in its African membership and its desire to further strengthen ties of brotherhood, cooperation and partnership with African countries in a bilateral and multilateral framework for the benefit of the people of the continent, adding that Africa has tremendous human and natural resources that would enable its people to overcome the economic and social challenges they face.

The Head of State also voiced his satisfaction with the level reached by Tunisian-Ivorian relations in many areas, and called for their strengthening and diversification, especially in the economic and commercial fields and in the sectors of higher education, scientific research, technology, culture, health and other fields, in addition to encouraging cooperation and partnership between the private sectors of the two countries to implement various projects.

On another level, the President of the Republic called on his host, Léon Kacou, to convey his greetings to his brother, the Ivorian President, and to invite him to make an official visit to Tunisia as soon as possible.
