Tunisia-Saied: There is a Tunisian association abroad which receives money to finance political parties in Tunisia

President of the Republic Kais Saied held his working meeting on Friday at CarthagePalace, with Prime MinisterAhmed Hachani, the Minister of Justice, Leila Jaffal, and the Minister of Finance, Sihem Al-Boughdiri Namsia.

The President of the Republic noted“the example of a Tunisian association abroad which receives millions of dinars each year and transfers this money to fund political parties in Tunisia(…) There is another which received in 2022 more than two million dinars…The time has come for some experts and thinkers to reconsider these concepts associated with civil society.”

The Head of State continued that “Associations which receive money from abroad most frequently organize seminars and forums in 5-star hotels at the end of the week to rest and relax, and experts come from abroad to train.
