President of the Republic, Kais Saied, stressed, during his meeting this afternoon, Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Carthage Palace, with Ms Leila Jaffal, Minister of Justice, the necessity to apply the law to all on an equal footing, and the need to decide on the many cases which are still pending and which are the subject of procedures: each time a hearing is held, it is delayed.
The Head of State also underscored that the Tunisian people are waging a war of liberation based on freedom, justice and the imposition of respect for the law and that there is no room for tolerance towards those who believe themselves above responsibilities and the law. He will not intercede for anyone who has perpetrated a crime belonging to any party, whether at home or abroad.
Likewise, freedom in all nations of the world does not mean chaos or impunity.
The President of the Republic called on the Minister of Justice to sanction, in complete compliance with the law, anyone who attempts to throw themselves into the arms of the outside world or permits themselves to be influenced by notorious lobbies to abuse the people and, ironically, want to play the role of the victim and the oppressed.
