Tunisia-Saïed warns against manipulation of voter data

President of the Republic, Kais Saïed, welcomed, this Monday, July 11, 2022,  the President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE), Farouk Bouasker at  Carthage Palace.

During the meeting, the Head of State insisted on the necessity for the neutrality of all the parties and on the attention to be given to the multiple tries of intrusion, during registration and the right to change the vote office.

The head of the state also recalled that what occurred during the National Consultation should not be repeated in the July 25 referendum, remarking that the ISIE website had remained closed for several days. He, consequently, called for all measures to be taken to remedy this issue, with the necessary precautions so that each party assumes its responsibilities.

The President of the Republic also confirmed that the question concerns the destiny of a country and a people. “We must accordingly not be tolerant towards those who aim to defeat the referendum. They fear the power of the people and are afraid of those who voice their opinion freely”.
