Tunisia-Saied: “We are neither colonized nor under protectorate …”

President of the Republic, Kais Saïed declared, during a meeting with prime minister Najla Bouden: “We are invested in the rights of the Tunisian people, its sovereignty and the sovereignty of the Tunisian state”.

He added: “We have never sent correspondence or given declarations, expressing our concern regarding the situation of rights and freedoms in certain capitals …”

“Our sovereignty is above all consideration and the idea of freedom, we have internalized it, long before them. That everyone takes care of their history and their reality, before examining ours and speaking about the situation in Tunisia, “he said

He added: “We are neither colonized nor under protectorate … We are an independent state and we know extremely well what we do, in total respect for the law”.

“Truths will have the effect of a resounding earthquake, so that people know what was prepared for them and what was going on, in recent years and decades,” he concluded.
