Tunisia – Saied:Criminal reconciliation is not settling of scores

a resident of the Republic, Kais Saied, confirmed, during his meeting with Prime Minister Ahmed El Hachani, at the government headquarters in Kasbah, that a committee will be established place in the coming months, which will permit the criminal reconciliation files to be examined until the Tunisian funds return to the Tunisian people.

The Head of State clarified that the issue of criminal reconciliation is not connected to the settling of scores, but rather to the retrieval of the people’s money from among the poor and the miserable, and to ensuring a minimum level of decent life.

Talking about the local council elections, the President underlined that “all election dates have been respected and the elections will still take place on time,” he said.

He added that the people have the last word in elections, stressing that no calendar can be controlled from the outside, he said.
