Tunisia-Salem Labiedh foresees the failure of the referendum

In an opinion piece published in Al Arabi Al Jadid, Echaab member Movement Salem Labiedh addressed the organization of the referendum scheduled for July by presidential order. “I have told my pupils multiple times, I hope to live a day when I will see a negative referendum in one of the Arab nations through which citizens will be able to say No! why do people say no in the Netherlands, France, Great Britain and Switzerland and not in Arab countries,” said Kais Saied when he was a university professor according to Salem Labiedh.

“Kais Saied will witness his dream of the failure of the referendum became a reality after the boycott of the national consultation by 95% of Tunisians. Today, the Head of State is encountering a great ordeal; either he clings to his principles and the ideas that he had transmitted to his students, or he adheres to his project and his unbridled will to govern and in this case, no one will trust the results of the elections anymore ” he indicated.
