Tunisia-Sami Tahri: State-owned enterprises can be saved without resorting to divestiture

UGTT leader Sami Tahri told Al Maghreb newspaper today that state-owned enterprises can be rescued without resorting to divestiture. He mentioned among the possible solutions the likelihood of applying the provisions relating to the voluntary departure of public officials, enabling civil servants to leave work while profiting from a severance allowance, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 2018-5. of 23 January 2018.

This operation is subjected to specific requirements, including age, seniority, and the approval of the administration concerned, he explained.
