Sami Tahri, Deputy Secretary General of the General Union of Tunisian Workers (UGTT) declared that the situation in the country is extremely tense, particularly in several regions and that the UGTT will not sit idly by regarding the social file.
Speaking on Friday, December 30,,2022 on private radio, Tahri criticized the government’s failure to meet its commitments, including the September deal.
The trade unionist furthermore said that the UGTT plans to organize protest movements later to denounce the economic and social situation in Tunisia.
