Tunisia-School return: Road advisory

On the occasion of the start of the school year, the Ministry of the Interior called, this Friday, September 15, 2023, on road users to lower their speed and strictly adhere to traffic rules and the highway code.

The Ministry of the Interior furthermore invites them to respect priorities, adopt cautious driving and comply with the recommendations and advice of agents operating on the roads, within the framework of the security measures put in place to ensure an accident-free return to school.
It likewise recommends avoiding using the phone while driving.

The department stresses having mobilized all the human and material resources necessary to assist road users, who, if required, can contact the following emergency numbers:

197: National security
193: National Guard
198: Civil protection

They can furthermore contact the Road Traffic Police Department at the following number: 71.343.201 or the National Guard at the number: 71.960.448.
