Tunisia-School return : Towards strengthening police patrols around schools

Preparations for the 2023-2024 school year were at the centre of a meeting held Tuesday, September 5 between the Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Education.

The two ministers underlined the significance of strengthening surveillance around educational establishments via the strengthening of permanent patrols to fight drug trafficking and violence.

According to a press release from the Ministry of the Interior, a program will be set in place to secure schools, teachers and schools as well as raise awareness of the dangers of drugs in the school environment.
