Al Karama coalition has announced that the frozen deputy Seifeddine Makhlouf has begun a hunger strike in condemnation of the appearance of civilians before military bodies.
Describing the trials as “ridiculous,” Makhlouf stated he does not recognize the judgments handed down against him. He estimated that these decisions were taken under the directives of the power in place (with reference to the Presidency of the Republic), stipulating that he will not contest in the future the judicial decisions which have been or will be rendered against him.
Makhlouf further called on the President of the Republic to show “bravery” and to leave Nidhal Saoudi and Ameur Ayed out of the dispute between them.
