Tunisia-Seizure of 5,000 narcotics tablets from two brothers

Security units were able to apprehend a resident of the Sidi Hassine region, in Tunis, who was selling drugs, along with his brother. They seized a transparent plastic bag containing a considerable quantity of narcotics tablets, estimated at approximately 5,000 grey-coloured narcotics tablets, while the second brother escaped, according to a report released today Friday by the ministry inside.

The ministry clarified in its report that the arrest of one of the two brothers was the result of the provision of information to executives and agents of the sub-directorate for the fight against narcotics, of the judicial police of Al-Gorjani, revealing that the two brothers were implicated in the field of storage and promotion of narcotic tablets, adding that after coordination with the public prosecutor at the court of first instance of Tunis 02, to obtain the required legal authorizations, a series of in-depth field investigations were carried out and their residence was identified and searched.
