Tunisia-Several earthquakes hit Manouba

The National Meteorological Institute (INM) reported, this morning, Monday, May 31, 2021, two earthquakes in Mornaguia and Oued Ellil, governorate of Manouba.

According to INM data, the first tremor with a magnitude of 2.56 on the Richter scale was registered north of Mornaguia at approximately 5:39 a.m., while the second, with a magnitude of 2 , 44 on the Richter scale, was recorded southeast of Oued Ellil at almost 5:42 a.m.

These two earthquakes were reportedly followed by other tremors. On social media, citizens of La Manouba noted other tremors in addition to those detected by the institute.
