Tunisia – Several protests in the regions following Saïed’s decision not to implement Law 38

Shortly after the statements made by the President of the Republic to the members of the coordination “employment is my right”, informing them that there was no way to implement Law 38, limiting their recruitment, in an exceptional way. , in the public service, the unemployed have launched, all over the regions, nightly protest movements.

In Gafsa and Kasserine, the demonstrators took over the headquarters of the governorates. In Gabes, the unemployed organized a sit-in in front of the headquarters of the governorate.

In Tunis, a few dozen demonstrators assembled at Avenue Habib Bourguiba. Protesters expressed their despair and disillusionment over Kaïs Saïed’s words, particularly since, they say, he had in the past ratified the law and ordered its publication on JORT.
