The Judicial Division of the Sfax North police district, backed by the security units of the region and the Sfax North security district, was able, this Friday, May 31, 2024 in the evening, to apprehend 21 irregular immigrants from sub-Saharan countries, following a fight and violence which broke out between them in the Haffara district in Sfax, during which bladed weapons were employed and 5 of them were arrested. They were equipped with large knives.

After notifying the public prosecutor, the latter authorized their arrest for participation in a battle. He also authorized the detention of a Tunisian citizen, the owner of the home in which some of these illegal immigrants live, for failure to provide information on the accommodation of a foreigner.
