Tunisia-Sfax: demonstration against poor waste management (video)

A protest movement was organized this Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the governorate of Sfax, reports Tunisie Numérique correspondent in the region.

The protesters called the President of the republic Kais Saied to intervene as soon as possible in order to fix the waste problem.

They also voiced their dissatisfaction with the deterioration of the region’s health and environmental situation.

Note that a fire has broken out at the level of the port for more than 24 hours releasing unpleasant and harmful odors. Smoke has caused cases of asphyxiation in a school in downtown Sfax. Three schoolchildren were likewise evacuated and sent to the emergency room in the afternoon of Wednesday.
