Tunisia-Sfax: Electoral campaign for municipal by-elections in Jebiniana begins

The electoral campaign for the municipal by-elections of the delegation of Jebiniana (Sfax) scheduled for July 4 for security officers and the army and July 5 for the other citizens, kicked off Sunday in Jebiniana and will continue until July 3.

Four lists are in the running: Ennahdha, and three independent lists: “Will and action,” “Jebiniana brings us together,” and “For Jebiniana,” according to regional coordinator of the Sfax 1 Regional Election Authority Najeh Belguith.

The municipal by-elections in Jebiniana was decided following the resignation of 14 members of the municipal council on December 17, 2019.

The Jebiniana Municipal Council has 24 seats, distributed after the 2018 elections as follows: 9 for Ennahdha, 8 for the Popular Front and 7 for the Nidaa Tounes party.
