Tunisia-Sfax governor demands the creation of 3 waste recovery units to resolve the crisis [Video]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the new governor of Sfax, Fakher Fakhfekh confirmed that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied is so keen to uncover a solution to the waste crisis in Sfax. “I contacted an expert in the field of recycling and waste recovery, of Tunisian origin and operating in Ivory Coast,” he said. “I have already met with the secretary-general of the municipality of Sfax, the first delegate, a representative of the National Waste Management Agency, (ANGED) and the mayor of Sfax to examine this subject.

Delegates from Agareb, Menzel Chaker and Mahres will likewise attend future meetings,” Fakhfekh added. He indicated that the environmental situation in the region requires the creation of 3 waste recovery units.
