Tunisia-Sfax-Migration: Several organizers of illegal crossings are behind bars

The official spokesperson for the National Guard, Houssemeddine Jebabli reported that the security units and the National Guard of the Sfax governorate have strengthened their control campaigns.

Jebabli clarified that this measure aims to fight irregular migration and crime resulting from the substantial increase in the presence of migrants in the Bab Jebli site in Sfax city.

He added that on the northern coasts towards the delegations of Jebeniana and El Amra, boats planned for illegal immigration and amounting to around 1 million dinars in cash were seized.

Houssemeddine Jebabli likewise announced the arrest of several organizers and participants in illegal crossings and people involved in transnational human trafficking operations.
