Tunisia – Sfax: Regional Health Directorate denies any death of children due to fumes of the fire of the garbage

The Sfax Regional Health Directorate denied this evening, in an interview with the media, rumors of the death of three children following smoke intoxication stemming from the fire of the discharge of the road waste port.

The regional official confirmed that no health establishment in the region has admitted or examined the slightest case of poisoning. Only three students suffered from the smoke, in a school neighboring the landfill, and were going to be transferred to the hospital. But they quickly recovered along the way.

He called on citizens as well as the media not to convey false information, and to return to the Regional Health Directorate which will provide them with all the data.
