Tunisia-Sfax: Towards the creation of waste recovery projects

Sfax mayor Mounir Loumi revealed that the municipality of Sfax is moving towards the creation of waste treatment and recovery projects, which were suggested yesterday by Tunisian and foreign investors during a study day about the waste crisis, organized by the municipality and the “Sfax university town” Association.

He pointed out that the selection of projects will be carried out by specialists in environment and waste management, which will then be submitted to the Ministry of the Environment, specifying that the supervisory authority had already pledged to respond favorably to the various proposals. The speaker indicated that foreign investors have voiced their willingness to participate in the realization of waste recovery projects, stating that they have announced the potential of concentrating a waste recovery unit in 15 months.
