Tunisia-Sfax: Young woman dies after a mosquito bite, ministry of health clarifies

The Ministry of Health denied circulating information on social media regarding the death of a 21-year-old girl from a mosquito bite.
The ministry promptly confirmed the girl passed away due to health complications from a rare fungal disease and diabetes.
They further revealed that the deceased was initially admitted to Hedi Chaker university hospital in a critical condition before being transported to the Department of Anesthesia and Recovery at Habib Bourguiba Hospital in Sfax.
Moreover, they denied any link between the girl death and disease transmitted by mosquitos.
