An investigation was initiated into the circumstances of the death of 9-year-old Hadil Marzouki, daughter of National Guard martyr Mohamed Marzouki who had been killed in the 2013 Sidi Ali Ben Aoun terrorist attack, the Ministry of Women, Childhood and Elderly said on Monday. Nine-year old Hadil Marzouki died on Monday shortly after taking a snack at her school in Sidi Bouzid, a ministry press release reads. The school’s directorate called the Civil Protection units which took her to the Sidi Bouzid local hospital to receive first aid but failed to rescue her. The Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Sidi Bouzid Court of First Instance ordered the initiation of investigation, the ministry specified, adding that the girl’s body will be taken to the forensics medicine to identify the cause of death. The legal child protection delegate in Sidi Bouzid alerted the family judge and took the necessary measures to provide the necessary support to the victim’s mother and her family. (TAP) |
