Tunisia-Sidi Bouzid: Meknassi mine workers protest

Workers of the Meknassi phosphate mine under (governorate of Sidi Bouzid), continue their sit-in in front of the headquarters of the delegation to request the regularization of their professional situation.

One of the protesters called on the authorities concerned to disclose the causes of the cessation of mine activities which led to the unemployment of more than 160 workers and to find a solution to the continued closure of the mine site despite its significance for the country’s economy, the TAP reports .
