Tunisia – Sidi Daoud: They robbed women in car without plates

Five women were victims of violent attacks by unknown attackers aboard a private car without a license plate at the back, as they crossed one of the junctions in the Sidi Daoud region.

After performing several field and technical investigations based on surveillance camera footage, the owner of the car used by his son was identified. By travelling to the latter’s house, after coordinating with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was possible to apprehend the person who admitted to committing a series of robberies using the mentioned car, with the participation of his nephew, who was subsequently arrested.

He admitted to then selling the stolen goods to three people living in the Bhar Lazreg area of Marsa.

In coordination with the public prosecutor’s office, the individuals involved were successively arrested and presented to the women affected, who identified them at first glance, as well as the car used in the thefts. The public prosecutor’s representative authorized the detention of all parties and the continuation of the investigation.
