Tunisia: significant drop in the quantities of cereals collected

According to statistics issued by the Cereal Office (ODC), the quantities of cereals amassed reached 7.5 million quintals, until August 31, 2022, against 8 million quintals, during the same period of the past year, a decline of 7%.

The quantities gathered are distributed between 6.758 million quintals of wheat lasts (90% of the quantities collected, 0.344 million quintals of tender wheat (4.6% of the quantities collected), 0.404 million quintals of barley (5.4% of quantities collected) and

Likewise, according to the same source, the national collection comes at the rate of 62.2% of the governorates of the northwest with 4.672 million quintals, while the governorates of the northeast and the centre carried out 2.290 million quintals respectively and 548 thousand quintals, 30.5% and 7.3%.
