Tunisia – signing and publication of finance law could promote a meeting with IMF in early January

Economy expert, Abdelkader Boudriga, confirmed this Thursday that the signing and publication of the 2023 finance law on the JORT, could promote a last-chance meeting with the IMF, during the first half of January, to hope to get out of the stifling crisis in the country, particularly with regard to the financing of the budget in currency.

He added that in the absence of an accord with the IMF, the pressure will be too strong on the dinar and on the BCT reserves in currencies.
