Tunisia-Situation in Tunisia worries USA

The situation in Tunisia is beginning to generate a lot of ink, in the United States, where interventions by political leaders are growing, to denounce what they call a dangerous drift towards authoritarianism. The representative of the Republican United States, Joe Wilson, has expressed his concerns since July 30, in particular following the arrests of certain MPs.

The latter has called on the Biden administration to condemn Tunisia moves. “After the arrest of an MP, the situation in Tunisia is only getting worse as Pres Saied fast tracks the country to authoritarian socialism. Biden has said he will work to promote Democracy worldwide but his weak foreign policy says otherwise,” Wilson said.
