Tunisia-Slaheddine Jourchi [Audio]:The primary obstacle confronting Kais Saied

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, political analyst Slaheddine Jourchi remarked on the last discourse delivered by the President of the Republic Kais Saied during the Council of Ministers. Jourchi stated that the Tunisian people and analysts are used to the speeches of the Head of State pointing out that the latter has brought nothing new. “He returned once again to the issues that affect him. The President of the Republic encounters a significant obstacle linked to the non-compliance of his words with his accomplishments,” he explained, emphasising that Saied’s pledges require the taking of several actions and decisions so that they can see the day.

According to him, the speeches of Kais Saied typically precede the study of the files and the identification of the legal conditions to execute the desired objectives. According to his analysis, the Head of State has become habituated to threatening speech since July 25. Jourchi likewise said that the Carthage tenant used to target a group every time waiting if Saied could take action.

Our speaker also identified that the Head of State wanted to “purge” the judiciary, however, the situation was difficult since several magistrates resisted this decision, as did international public opinion. which did not back Saied in particular following the dissolution of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM).
