Tunisia-SNCFT announces schedule changes for some services

Following the decision to institute a curfew in the governorates of Sousse and Monastir, the Tunisian National Railway Company (SNCFT) announced the change of schedules for some routes. Accordingly, for long-distance lines, it was decided to change the train schedule:

  • from Tunis to Sfax: 6:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
  • from El Aouinette to Tunis from 3:41 p.m. to 2:26 p.m.
  • from Gafsa towards Tunis from 10 p.m. to 12:05 a.m.
  • For the train leaving Tunis at 5:20 p.m. to Mahdia, it was decided that the Monastir station would become its final destination.
  • Therefore, the return from Monastir to Tunis will be at 6:35 am. The train service from El Aouinette to Tunis (00:32), and that from Tunis to El Aouinette (21:45), will be canceled.

For the railway line in the Sahel suburbs, SNCFT has let it be known that it has concluded that the first train from Mahdia to Monastir and Bab Jadid leaves at 6 a.m., while the last train on the same line (from Mahdia en direction of Monastir and Bab Al Jadid) leaves at 6:05 pm.
For the first train leaving Sousse Bab Jedid to Monastir and Mahdia, the schedule has been set at 5:45 am.
The last service, from Sousse Bab Jedid to Mahdia, was scheduled at 6:00 p.m., while that to Monastir was at 7:30 p.m.
