Tunisia: SNJT calls for the removal of certain articles of Decree-Law 54

Responding to the submission of the draft revision of Decree-Law No. 54 to the General Legislation Committee, the President of the National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT), Zied Dabbar, voiced his concern about the retention of certain articles.

In a statement to TAP, he emphasised “the urgency of removing the provisions used to prosecute journalists, lawyers, activists, and citizens.”
