Tunisia-SNJT condemns attacks on journalists

The National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) today condemned attacks on many journalists while covering the Sunday protest against the exceptional measures adopted by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied.

It accused political parties known for their hostility to the Tunisian press of partaking in these acts of violence directed at involving journalists in the circle of political conflicts.

The SNJT further praised the position of the security forces who intervened on behalf of journalists to protect them so that they can carry out their work in total safety.
