The National Union of Tunisian Journalists SNJT cautioned against slander campaigns against the newspaper Al Anouar, following the famous article on Rached Ghannouchi and his 2,700 million dinars.
The SNJT emphasised the consequences that such behaviour can have on the freedom of the press and on the safety of journalists.
Expressing its support for Al Anouar and the journalists working there, the SNJT reemphasised its respect for the right of everyone, in this case, Ennadha Movement, to seek justice. It recalled that the right of reply is secured by law and that it must be exercised within the legal framework.
