Tunisia-Social affair minister Mohamed Trabelsi meets Charles Arbid President of Lebanon’s Socio-Economic Council

Social affairs Minster Mohamed Trabelsi met Charles Arbid President of Lebanon’s Socio-economic Council, to adequately discuss the official establishment of a Pan-Arab Union of Economic and Social Councils.

Minster Trabelsi presented the Tunisian experience in establishing its economic and social council. Adequately discussing the council main composition, Trabelsi highlighted the council main reforms projects. Including projects aimed to aid low-income families and children. Moreover, Mr Trabelsi presented card scheme “Labes” and “Amen” directed toward social security and low-income families.

For his part, Arbid emphasised the importance of properly establishing an official union that draws together all parties. Mr Arbid declared that the project would be a favourable ground to exchange and review economic and social experiences.

Charles Arbid President of Lebanon’s Socio-Economic Council is carrying a working visit to Tunisia from 16th to 19th of June.
