Lawyer Sonia Dahmani confirmed that the investigating judge at the Tunis court of first instance had decided to keep her at liberty.
Dahmani said that the investigating judge has sufficient data to classify the proceedings against her, remarking that what distinguished the pleadings presented by the defence lawyers was the reminder of fundamental rights and freedoms which are the freedom of opinion, expression, and media.
It should be stated that Sonia Dahmani appeared today before the 10th investigation office at the Court of First Instance of Tunis, within the meaning of chapter 24 of decree 54, following the complaint lodged by the general directorate of prisons after she talked on a radio show about the situation in Tunisian prisons.
